This block represents the Van Horne family who lived on Grafton Ave. All 12 children of Alice and Matt Van Horne attended French Creek School although Dick was only in Grade 2 when he passed away in 1944. The first of the original siblings started attending in 1926 and the last started in 1954. Many of the grandchildren also attended the school and even some great grandchildren. Some are still attending on the 100th anniversary of French Creek School.
