As documented the Salvation Army has a huge heritage history in Coombs. This blue yellow and red square represents the Salvation Army Flag. I grew up with my family (Allan and Marion Greenard, 1947-1980) on one of the Salvation Army acreages on the Alberni Highway. I attended French Creek School for Grade 1 and 2 from 1947-’48. A lot of the Coombs residents attended the Salvation Army Church in Coombs during the 1950s. I have many wonderful memories there. I’m proud to represent the Salvation Army for the school’s 100th anniversary.
