One of my most memorable memories of French Creek School was our celebration of the 2010 Olympics. During this time students learned about the Olympics, including the history, types of events and important Canadian athletes. The Olympics being held in Vancouver presented a wonderful opportunity for us to engage our students to learn about the key Olympic values of unity, fairness, leadership, respect, goal setting, dealing with pressure and personal growth. On Feb. 25, 2010 we held an assembly to celebrate the opening of the 2010 Winter Games. This was a fabulous event for all.
